A Panama City Beach 5K with a Heart

There seems to be no shortage of themed 5k runs these days.

Each seems to have it’s own unique hook intended to set it aside from the crowd.

Obstacle courses, colored powder, night time runs with glowsticks, or just good old fashioned mud.

That’s exactly where the BeachFAB5k is different though.

There’s no gimmick here; just an opportunity to take part in a fun event that also has the benefit of helping those who need help in recovering from drug or substance addiction.

So you get a double-dose of the feel-goods.

Feel good that your body got some great exercise, AND that you helped a worthy cause.

BeachFAB5K

BeachFAB5K are putting on their very first charity 5K event in September, 2014.

The event will take place on September 6th, and all proceeds will go towards helping those who need help in recovering from drug or substance addiction.

Event Schedule

The Fun Run will start at 8:00 a.m. on the beautiful Gayle’s Trails located at Frank Brown Park, just a short drive from the Sandpiper Beacon.

The course is paved the entire way, and surrounded by beautiful Florida pine trees.

There will be water stations provided along the course.

To run, it’s $20 cash for race-day registration and $25 at active.com.

You can also keep your sneakers clean, and get involved by becoming a business sponsor or by simply making a donation.
