A Dickens of a Christmas

Downtown Panama City is the place to be for three festive nights of family fun and celebrations! During the first three Fridays of December only, you can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, ice skating (free), carol singing, free concerts, and kids activities. The kids activities will include a miniature horse and buggy ride, two train rides, and bounce houses.

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees is a festive Bay County Christmas tradition that lets families really share the season’s beauty and meaning. Volunteers decorate and donate trees, wreaths and centerpieces for auction. This fundraiser benefits Bethel Village, a privately funded, nonprofit who helps the needy by providing food, shelter and clothing.

Annual Boat Parade of Lights

Anyone who owns a boat is invited to dress them up in festive lights, and join in the parade on water. Set against the dramatic pitch black skies, the parade of lights is a stunning spectacle. Especially with the beautiful reflections of all the illuminated boats gleaming in the water below. You won’t just be stood around in the cold though, there will be vendors on site serving hot food and drinks, as well as live music and a festive Christmas Market.

Pier Park Beach Ball Drop

If you don’t mind braving the cold air, you could experience the Annual Pier Park Beach Ball Drop! Live entertainment, fireworks displays, giveaways and more. Watch two ball drops, including a Family Beach Ball Drop consisting of more than 10,000 inflatable beach balls, followed by the traditional midnight ball drop with an 800 pound lighted beach ball descending nearly 100 feet.
