Sandpiper Beacon Hotel Reviews

I've read several reviews and most describe some one-of-a-kind issue they had that ruined the whole experience. We have 3 kids. 10years, 5 years, and a 2 year old and they all had a total blast.

The indoor lazy river and pool is a big plus when you're too tired for anything else or when there is a gap between activities that you may have planned. The outdoor park is a plus but depending on the hour of the day, it may be too hot for smaller children.

The deli, which is located next to the park, isn't bad and is fairly priced. The outdoor pool seemed to be really crowed but that may just depend on the day and/or the hour. The putt-putt golf area is small, just for kids, and they loved it.

There are several other things to do such as outdoor movies, which started at sundown.

Now for the negative stuff. Depending on the time of year there are a lot of goofy drunk teenagers. We made the mistake of going right after school let out for summer.

The staff seemed nice and were prompt when there was any issues with the room ect. (There are small overhead heaters in the bathroom for some reason and ours would not turn off. Maintenance got it fixed. No big deal.)

The entire place was reasonably clean, granted, this depends on your definition of clean. We have small kids so we were just glad to have someone else clean for a change.

All in all, your kids will enjoy this place and you will like the convenience of everything. THIS IS NOT A FANCY PLACE so keep your expectations down to earth and you and your family will have a good time.

OH YEAH, one more thing… There are padded chairs with umbrellas on the beach that appear to be for the guests of the Sandpiper Beacon. They are indeed yours for 30 bucks a day...We'd rather sit on the sand anyway.

My husband and I finally took a well-earned vacation after 3 years of not having one!

This place has it all, food, fun, entertainment and sun!!! We arrived a day early and were quickly accommodated without too much trouble and our entire stay was, for the most part, very relaxing and comfortable.

The staff is very quick to assist and on the one and only night that we were awakened by a group of loud, obnoxious people, it was quickly handled by security and all was good.

Looking forward to taking the grandchildren there next year!!

I have stayed many times, 2 times so far in 2013.

My stay in Jan 2013 was a true blessing to see seniors so HAPPY and enjoy every moment. NEVER have stayed anywhere else. No matter your age; 0 - 100+, there is a season of FUN for all. Other hotels / motels just wonder in awe that they can never come close to the standards the Sandpiper Beacon has built. Generations of memories, FUN and joy... Best staff to make sure you are happy. People, go! Become family; learn the history of the FUN Place!

Sandpiper always has lots of things to do and all types of entertainment. Great prices, clean rooms, lots of activities and fun, fun, fun.

I have been coming to this hotel since I was a child. Last summer my husband, daughter, two sisters, sister-n-law, brother-n-law, and my mom, dad and mother-In-law all were scheduled to come to your resort the week of July 13th.

Unfortunately, only my two sisters, and my mom and dad were able to attend. We were driving from Ohio with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law and brother-in-law were driving from Texas. We were going to meet in Alabama, stay the night and drive the next day to your resort. We got a call in KY that forever changed our lives. My brother in law was killed by a 17-year old drunk driver 30 mins from their home in Texas. We were all devastated. I want to thank you for your understanding when my dad called to not only cancel our room, but also my brother-in-law. I also realize there is a no refund policy, but you very promptly returned our money which helped us a great deal, given the extra expenses we had.

This is the best family vacation hotel/resort around and your staff is always extremely helpful. We are returning this year in August and we are so looking forward to everything that the Sandpiper offers.

I have countless memories at your hotel with my family. But I just wanted to say thank your for going above and beyond when my family was experiencing such an unforgettable tragedy.

We just recently took our first family trip to Sandpiper. The staff was super sweet and we had nothing but a good time.

It's super clean and you never run out of things to do. If you were planning a trip to Panama City, Sandpiper would be the only place I'd even consider staying.

We will be making yearly trips to Panama City FL and the Sandpiper will be where we're staying every time. Thanks for the great stay in room 213!

We make the trek to Panama City Beach every summer with our 3 (now teenage) sons.

We have stayed at other resorts but once we stayed at the Sandpiper we were never straying! We still come every summer, but now we bring my best friend and her family along with us and get the 3-room suite.

The rooms are amazing and the staff is the finest. The deli food is Amazing! There is not 1 bad thing about this resort.

Will NEVER stay anyplace else. LOVE THE SANDPIPER!

We just returned home from our first stay at the Sandpiper Beacon and we cannot wait to come back and stay again.

We stayed five days for Spring Break and had no complaints. Our eleven-year-old son loved all the games and activities.

We had planned on some excursions while we were there but with everything going on at the resort there was no need to go elsewhere.

We had fun and definitely plan on returning! Very friendly staff.

I've stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort two times so far. I love it, and so do my family.

They have so much to do there that you don't even have to leave the resort to have a good time. They have things to do for kids and adults as well.

My favorite thing would have to be the Tiki Bar, you can take your children down there and they can get their faces painted. They also have karaoke which is always fun to watch or participate in.

I recommend that anyone going to Panama City Beach, FL stay at the Sandpiper. I loved it, and I think you will too!

We had never been on a family vacation until 2012. We found the Sandpiper Beacon online and thought we would try it.

We have 2 boys, aged 3 & 6 at the time. We all had an awesome time, even mom and dad!

Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews you've heard about this place.

This is the most complete vacation place in Panama City Beach.

Anything you want / need - all you need to do is ask. Friendly staff.

Can't wait to go back but will stay longer next time.

I am married and mother of 4 daughters ages 7-18 plus the 18-year-old boyfriend and we came in July 2012 for the very first time ever to Florida and had a great time!

The Sandpiper was a great place to stay. With great people, food, family fun, and adult fun. When we come back we will not leave the resort this year!

We spent 4 great nights here in July 2012. All I can say is awesome! Everyone was helpful and friendly and the room was great - we never left the resort, it had every thing we needed and more.

We are planning our trip for this year already -- can't wait!

My friends and I wanted to go to PCB but we didn't want to go Spring Break but we went last May. It was so much fun but not too wild. We met some awesome people and this place was GREAT. Saved money by having a kitchenette and having the Tiki Bar a few steps away as well. We parasailed and even did some of the kid's activities, which were fun for all ages.

The staff was super friendly and always answering questions and has good suggestions on restaurants.

Would recommend for anyone and of all ages.

Can't wait to go back!

First visit to the Sandpiper October 2012. Had a wonderful time, staff was wonderful, rooms clean and nice, ocean front doors and deck, everything you need.

A lot of activities to keep the kiddos entertained right there. We had a great experience here and will return!

We arrived at the resort on Sunday with a car problem. As soon as we had checked in the staff was more than willing to help out with car problem. They directed us to a good auto repair shop, gave the number and the next day my car was being fixed.

After getting my car back, the staff would always ask me if I was satisfied with the service from the auto place. I was VERY SATISFIED.

The resort was everything and more than I had seen on the web. Anybody with children, this is the place to go, they have a lot of things for kids. The resort was very clean, rooms were wonderful and we had a beautiful view of the ocean every morning.

Whenever I get to take another vacation, it will be here - that's for sure!

We arrived on Oct 28 for a couple's retreat. We stayed in one of the condos. What an AWESOME TIME!

Even though it was cold for a few days, we enjoyed the Tiki Bar, Beach, Hot Tub and just being at the beach.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We are already planning our fall vacation for 2013 here.

This was our first time staying there and we could not have picked a better place! The staff was excellent and very helpful & friendly from day one!

Our boys (ages 3 & 6) had a blast from face painting to a scavenger hunt! We definitely recommend this place to anyone and we will be staying there again!

We just got home yesterday from Panama City Beach. We arrived Sunday, Sept. 16th.

Have not been to Sandpiper Beacon or the beach in 7 years. My daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, great-grandson, my sister and my husband and I went. There is so much to see and do there. Really enjoyed the authentic Polynesian Show and family karaoke.

We stayed in room 114 which was on the ground floor with an ocean view and it was so nice and big. Never saw any bugs or mildew in bathroom. They have really updated everything since we were last there. Everyone was so nice.

The only thing I hated was when we arrived Sunday our room was not ready and we had to wait 3 hours before we got into our room. Our daughter's room was ready when we got there but it was on a different floor facing the street and smaller than ours.

We are already planning to go back next September.

There were 7 of us family members ranging in age from 19 months to 66 years old.

This was the best vacation we have ever had. Something to do for everyone. We really enjoyed the authentic Polynesian Show, family friendly karaoke and bingo.

Everyone was so nice and our room was on the ground floor and very clean. Kitchen was nice and had everything you needed to cook.

We are already planning on coming back next year. Can't wait!

My son and a group of his friends graduated from High School last year, and wanted a trip to Panama City Beach to celebrate.

I must have spent hours on different websites, and calling hotels and condos all over the beach to try to find somewhere. Everyone kept telling me that they don't rent to anyone Under 25, or Under 21.

My son is an honors student, with excellent grades, well behaved - I understand that some hotels may not like to rent to 18 year olds, but I don't agree that my son should be considered guilty until proven innocent! He, and his group of friends are all good kids - and behave responsibly and mature for their age. So it was great to find a Hotel that trusted them, and let them take the break they deserved!

They all had a great time - and said there was lots to do right there at the Hotel, so they never had to leave unless they went to see a movie. Steve and Patrick were both very helpful when I called to ask for rates - We're planning to come and stay as a family next year!

We stayed from 9/12/12 - 9/16/12. It was our first trip to the Sandpiper and our 4 children's first trip to the Beach!

We all absolutely loved it, especially the Lazy river and the yellow slide! The only issue was our shower did not work.

Will definitely be back next year!

The Sandpiper Beacon rocks! We had a wonderful time, and we were truly sad to leave!

During our stay there were so many activities to do, we stayed busy the whole week! Our 3yr old son was occupied with the putt-putt and he loved the playground!

I loved that the staff were all very friendly and eager to help in any way they could!

My husband and I stay there every year. This was my 12th year!

We spent our honeymoon there in 2004. We go back every year each year our group grows. This year there were 25 family members!

The children ranged from 7 months to 14 years. The all had a great time. There is plenty to do for all ages young and old. Lots of family games. No need to leave the property.

I have been to the Sandpiper twice before, and on my way again next week. The staff is the best and will bend over backwards to assist in any way they can. They just make you feel at home and the best part is everything is right there.

We stop on our way in at the grocery store for snacks and never have to leave until we sadly have to head home.

Love the Tiki Bar! It is family oriented and everyone is just there to have a good time.

We had a great stay.

When you are at the beach you hope for dry sunny days every day while you are there. We had rain for the first 3 days we were there but we had fun just the same. From bingo to the scavenger hunt... We had fun every day we were there.

Murphy was great with all the games. DJ Money... He kept the nights fun and interesting. Everyone that works there were very friendly and were always going out of their way to make sure everything was great for the people staying there.

This was our first visit to this resort... It will not be the last!

The stay at the Sandpiper was awesome and I was very impressed.

There was always something going on at all times. I loved the hot tub, waterslide, karaoke, and the lazy river. The smoothies at the Tiki Bar tasted great.

There was only one problem we had during our stay, but we told the staff and they handled it immediately.

This was our first time staying at the Sandpiper and our 3 year old to the beach.

I was very impressed with so much to do right at the resort. My son loved the balloon animals and loved playing on the swing sets.

The room was clean and loved just a few steps from the beach. All of the workers were very nice especially Casey. He always greeted us with a smile.

My son is already asking when are we going to go back. Thanks for a great vacation!

So, we just got home from the beach. I can't say enough about this hotel.

We were there for four days and still didn't see the whole hotel. There is soooo much going on at any giving time it's impossible to do everything! It rained two of the days we were there and we didn't even know it because of all of the activities going on inside the Tiki Bar, and the indoor pool and Lazy River.

My kids LOVED this place and my wife I and did as well.

I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone with children! This was our first visit at the Sandpiper Beacon, and I think we have found a new yearly tradition!

My boyfriend and I stayed from aug 12-16 2012. I really enjoyed our visit. Our room was clean and updated.

Saved money being able to use the kitchenette. The staff were friendly and gracious. Thanks Catalina, in housekeeping, for the clean towels! It was always a pleasure to see you.

Our room was quiet too, another plus. We were away from the pools and tiki bar. Thank you too for the awesome air conditioner! We stayed in an expensive condo on the beach last yr. and our air there was barely adequate and couldn't even move the thermostat!

Luckily I was the one that chose the sandpiper and it was exactly like the pics I saw, or I was going to hear about it, lol.

I look forward to staying there in the future. Only disappointment I had was that the beaches werent as clean as they were last year. Too many cig butts and bottles. I really wish people would be more aware of what they are doing to your beautiful beaches.

This was my second stay here and my daughter and two grandsons, (3½ and 1 ½) first stay. We loved every minute of it and didn't want to leave.

We had the perfect room, on the first floor, at the end, with a swing right outside our door and three hammocks just off the deck. Bingo was fun, as well as the putt-putt golf and making S'mores. The boys really loved the playground and making new friends.

The face painting was awesome. Both boys got painted like a pirate and the artist was really good. They also loved the balloon swords that were made for them. My oldest grandson even went back the next day and got Batman painted on his face.

The beachside deli had GREAT food, and we enjoyed Karaoke every night. We visited the ice cream store and the convenience store was nice to pick up a few things we needed without having to go off the premises.

They looked for sand crabs one night on the beach with their flashlight. Got to fly their kite and really enjoyed the Lazy River and the inside pool with the slide. It rained off and on a little, but the sun came out for us to build some sandcastles on the beach and enjoy the beauty of God's Creation.

We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and look forward to coming back again soon.

This was our first time at the Sandpiper.

It was Monday raining cats & dogs, we were looking for a room on the beach and stumbled upon this place. Thanks to Mr. Robert an employee there who took the time to show us around the place, we decided to stay for a few days.

It ended up being the best vacation we ever had! Sooo much to do, sooo laid back.

It was totally amazing.

The check in was great the respect of the employees there. My youngest son Aaron made a friend with one of the staff - his name was Cassie.

We stayed 4 days and nights. It was very economical for us having 3 kids. They always had something to do and I just let them go except for the ocean- cause everything was right there. I have made a big to do of this experience with my family and friends.

We got home Friday the 26th and when the kids woke on Saturday they asked if we could re-pack and go back- so mommy had a cup from the Sandpiper and believe you me; they are saving change like crazy- so yes the LORD willing we will be back next year maybe for a week.

You have an amazing resort and some of the greatest employees that I have ever come in contact with - couldn't ask for anything more. THANKS SANDPIPER BEACON RESORT AND CASSIE!

My husband and 2 children just returned from a short trip to PCB. We spend 3 days and 2 nights at Sandpiper and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, bathroom was clean, beds we comfy, and the AC blasted cold air! It was the perfect size for the 4 of us!

A cute balcony with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. The pool was right outside, with a slide that my 6 year old, my husband, our 1 year old and myself loved! :)

We had a blast with all the events the Tiki bar put on. The kids loved the playgrounds. And with the weather, the indoor pool and lazy river was the perfect place to hang out during the lightning storm!

Thank you for having a place with so much to do. Really made our short trip filled with fun and activities, without even leaving the grounds! Would stay again, and refer many! Thanks! :)

My family of 4 was there the week of July 16-21. We loved it there and are already saving up to come back, hopefully next summer. Our room was clean, and the activities were great. We loved watching the Hula Dancer show and the Polynesian Dancers. I tried and tried to get my boys up there to dance...they wouldn't do it.

We created great family memories during the week we were there. The onsite restaurant was good, decent priced food. The Tiki Bar... What's to say... Great place!

I think my boys played mini-golf everyday we were there, several times a day (it was right outside our room). The pools were clean, the lazy river was packed, and our kids loved them all.

The ice cream was well liked nightly by our family. Loved being able to walk right out to the beach when we wanted to... We will be back!!

There were a few down sides of things, but nothing in comparison to the good, fun, and memory making we had.

We had the greatest time this year, a lot of updates have been made and this really made our vacation here enjoyable, we did not have one problem with anything.

Can't wait to come back, it is such a laid-back atmosphere here & you don't have to dress to impress anyone.

The kids love it here, they insist on staying here, there's so much for them & us adults to do. Thanks Sandpiper!!

Me and my wife and kids stayed July 15th to the 22nd and had a great stay...

The place is great and the staff is very friendly...

There is always stuff going on to keep the younger kids busy and the beach is clean...

This has got to be one of the best places I have ever stayed at the beach!

The room was super clean. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The resort was awesome. The highlights were the on-the-beach deli, where food prices were super low and the food was so good! The Tiki Bar, who needs to leave and drive in 1,000 car traffic when you have your own club right outside and on the beach!

We didn't have a beachfront room our first stay, but it was a great room and on the ground floor. I really can't find one single thing to complain about. It is everything you could possibly want or need in a place at the beach!

We have been coming for the last 10 years. Every year it seems to get better. I can let my kids run free and I'm not worried about them.

Most of the staff knows us by name. The rooms are always clean and smell good. Great drinks and we always find friends.

My youngest son Bradley (8) said "I have a new best friend I just met him" I laughed but its true we always find friends there and return 2-3 times a year. I feel like the people that work there really care about our stay.

The house keeping staff is courteous and friendly I always try to make them fell appreciated. You guys rock. John, Robert, Steve, I hate to name names because I have a hard time remembering names but all the staff are important to us and without them our stay wouldn't be the same. No, no impossible.

In closing my family would like to say THANK YOU. We will be back in August of this year (2012) We expect to have an even greater this time.

It's my 1st time at the beach and I love the pools. We went to the 1$ for everything store and there were beads. I helped a man pick one up and he let me make a necklace. Anyway, the Sandpiper rocks. I will go there again! What fun!

This was our third time there, and as always it was a great time!

We stayed once again for 10 days, this time with 2 adults and 4 teenagers.

We had an awesome time as always... We will be back in August for a week - can't wait!

The staff are awesome the rooms are awesome. We hope to rent a beach house or town house on our next visit and bring more friends & family!

First time to stay at the Sandpiper Beacon. Loved it, so much to do.

We got the wrong room when we got there but when I brought it to the manager's attention he immediately upgraded our room to a kitchenette upper floor that we wanted at no extra charge!

Very happy, room was very clean and nice. No problems here!

My family (there were 18 of us- including 7 kids ranging from 19 months to 9 years old) just spent June 22-29 at the resort and it was FANTASTIC!

Tropical storm Debbie tried to ruin our fun on Sunday and Monday but it didn't work. The staff was very reassuring and helped us make the best of the downpours.

We all enjoyed the lazy river and indoor pool when it wasn't fit to be out and the light raindrops did not keep us out of pool and hot tub on Monday. We truly liked having everything that we needed on site. The restaurant, the beach grill, the grocery store, the beach supply store and the Tiki Bar were there for us to use on the days we didn't want to venture out.

Having Pier Park just down the road was convenient for nights out, but really anywhere one wanted to eat was just a scenic drive down the road. After all, the evening slow moving bumper-to-bumper traffic is what vacationing at Panama City Beach is all about.

This resort catered to the entertainment needs of all the ages in our group. From the beach to the blow-up slides and bubble pit to the face painting and tattoos to the Tiki Bar refreshments - we all were kept busy. There is so much to do with having the three pools to break up the time at the beach. The evening entertainment was a lot of fun also.

I truly hope that we will be back soon.

Can't wait to come back, our family is already planning our next trip in a few weeks.

We have 2 kids aged 16 & 12 that love it, and look forward to vacation time every summer...

We stayed six days. The staff was all wonderful, helpful, polite and patient.

The facility is awesome. A little aged, but better than anything else we saw.

Outdoor Movies pools, putt-putt golf, rent surf boards, sea do`s, sail boats, boat rides, beach chairs with umbrella's, store on site, ice cream, snacks food, beer. I can say no more.

Great for a family. Very child-oriented, and they have found a way to please children young adults and older people all the same.

We will return!

Sandpiper is the best place to stay on the beach.

As a parent, I had my first trip there in 2010 when a friend and I (along with our children) stayed here. We absolutely loved it... The beachside games are so much fun... The Tiki Bar is great – it gives the parent a chance to wind down after a long day with the kids.

So now that my son is 17, he and 5 of his friends decided to stay here for their senior trip. Needless to say they had a blast! The staff is wonderful. They know kids will be kids - they let them have their fun and enjoy their trip where most places would be complaining. They knew what it was once like to go on their senior trip and have fun...

Thanks so much for a trip full of memories that they will never forget…

The Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort in a great hotel to stay in.

I stayed there in 2009 and it was amazing they have so much stuff to do for fun and I had a blast.

I'm going back to stay at this hotel again this year and I'm super excited I can't wait.

I really loved the Tiki Bar, that was my favorite part and the view from some of the rooms are incredible.

I just got back from staying here... Awesome place to stay.

Have a lot of things to do, fun night-life, great food at the deli, very friendly staff, clean, beautiful beach, and minutes away from the Pier Park outlet mall.

I will be staying here for many years to come.

My family and I stayed at the sandpiper for 9 days and had the best time! Didn't get bored - not one time. The only other thing we did outside the sandpiper is go shopping in Pier Park.

The Sandpiper has everything you need. The pools are beautiful as well as the view. The Tiki bar is amazing!

All the staff was great, not one rude person. All the staff was extremely helpful.

My 2 year old had a vacation she will never forget thanks to the Sandpiper!

We will be coming back next year for sure! If not sooner! I would highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the money!

Unfortunately picked a bad weekend to go because of weather but due to the activities, grandkids had a great time.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Sandpiper is close to everything we like to go to.

Sandpiper was a very family friendly resort!

Lots for the kids to do, well staffed, rooms were clean and we has lots to keep us busy without really leaving the resort.

We have been to PCB three times, however this was our first stay at Sandpiper and we are already planning our next trip.

I had never been to Panama City Beach, but a family member recommended your establishment.

We love karaoke nights in the Tiki Bar and the convenience of the Snack Bar for lunches on the beach.

Rooms are older, but we only stay in to sleep anyways. Wish they'd supply shampoo in the bathroom, though.

I stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon Sunday 29th through Thursday 3rd, and I had an absolute blast!

The people are AWESOME and super friendly! Megan at the Tiki Bar was ASTOUNDING!

After having trouble with bugs at a motel that we booked through one of those sites that say they can get you a cheap rate (won't do that again) we stopped at the Sandpiper Beacon to see if they had any available rooms and would they allow pets.

We were traveling with our little poodle and they were kind enough to not only have a room for us, but they allow your family pet (small ones) to travel with you.

We were pleasantly surprised that the price was great and everything about the resort was wonderful. We were very pleased with the staff. Everyone was so friendly and we said that from now on when we travel to Panama City Beach, that Sandpiper will be the only place that we will stay.

This place is amazing! It was already better than the place we staid in Tennessee.

We did notice a smell when walked in the room but it's the cleaning products they use and goes away quickly. Our refrigerator went out the same day we checked in and they had it fixed and over with in less than 25 minutes. Very impressed with service.

It is a very family friendly place. They had shows and free face painting, free balloons, free glitter tattoos for kids and more.

The staff was always friendly and our room was always clean when we got back from the beach. The amount of fun for families is non-stop!

We will be back for sure!

My Daughter was married on the 24th of April 2012 one of best weddings I have ever been to.

The staff was the best I have ever seen on helping with whatever we needed. Cody the DJ was great. The bartenders were great. After the wedding, the rooms were great, clean beach was the greatest.

We will be back with the rest of the family and we have 10 kids, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

We just got back from The Sandpiper Beacon and my kids (both girls, ages 14 and 12) can't stop talking about how much fun they had.

We were a little worried at first because it was Spring Break and there were a lot of college/high school kids. They were really loud at night, but if we had any problems, we just called the front desk and they handled it.

We really liked Casey, he was always walking around and making sure everything was ok. He was so nice and polite!

We all loved having a kitchen in our room and only left the resort twice in a week. We grilled right outside our room and hung out at the Tiki Bar most of the time.

My girls LOVED the afternoon games and were both so excited that they won the hula-hoop contest. They also had fun games for the adults, like the corn hole tournament and balloon toss.

We all agree that it was one of our favorite places to go and we will be back. Also, Chris B. at the front desk was so helpful! Everyone was so nice and the place was very clean. Love it there!

We stayed here for our daughters' wedding in June 2011. There was a group of us (all ages). There was always something to do for everyone. The Tiki bar was our favorite.

Everyone there was very friendly and willing to help if you needed help to find something. The rooms were clean and the pools were well taken care of. The shows were also a real treat.

We will be staying there again in June this year.

3 days-had a great time! Robert and David stood out during our visit with info and friendly talk. With this I rhyme: "When 2 or more gulls congregate - David will investigate!"

The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Even the cleaning staff- and desk people were decent! And- the Tiki bar - OH Yeah! Our view! Security on top of it! Never felt a threat.

Too bad about lazy river though – it was down at the time. Jimbo and Shana had good time. Jimbo out!

Every year I go to Panama City Beach for my annual birthday get down.

There's never any doubt where the party will start or end… It is always at the Sandpiper, because they are a super bunch of cool people that staff this place and always 24/7 at your every need.

When other places say "there's no way", the people at the piper make one! Can't wait 'till we leave. The ride starts here so hang on tight and scream PCB!

We had a wonderful time while we were there.

I loved this hotel. I have to say I was very impressed and I have never seen a hotel have so much to do. My kids really loved the stay. My 2 year old tells me all the time she wants to go back to the beach. Her birthday is July 25 and we are going to try and come again for the 4th of July.

Watching fireworks on the beach was gorgeous. The only thing I didn't care for was the rooms were kind of small to me and I think could be remodeled a little bit. However, it REALLY DIDNT MATTER about the room because we were only in it to rest and sleep.

Overall I loved this hotel.

We spent the weekend at the Sandpiper Beacon and it was a wonderful experience. It was a kid-free weekend, but we will be back with the kids next time.

This hotel is not your average hotel - It was like a home away from home.

Our room was very spacious and we had a large balcony. The entertainment was as great as promised. The staff was marvelous!

We just got back from spending 4 nights and 5 days at the Sandpiper in a Villa.

It was very nice, clean, could walk out right on the beach had kitchen, BBQ pits on beach… Very nice. This was our second trip to the Sandpiper.

I would highly recommend staying at this resort, it is worth the money and they have everything you could ask for.

My family and I stayed for 3 days Halloween weekend and had a very good time here.

The building is old but our room had just been remodeled, we were close to 2 of the pools and hot tub.

They had things for the kids to do all weekend and we enjoyed Happy Hour at the Tiki Bar and enjoyed watching Fla/Ga game on the big screen.

We have booked a villa to stay in during our summer vacation in June. Only wished the rooms had an iron/board and hair dryer.

We had a blast, and it is for all ages!

We were very satisfied with room; it was clean, the bed was very comfortable. All the staff was very helpful and super nice. We loved Mustang Sally band.

We enjoyed our time at Sandpiper Beacon!

My boys and I stayed here this past weekend (Sept 23-25) and we had a blast!

There were 3 pools to choose from to swim in, the Lazy River, the hot tub, putt-putt, shuffleboard, Tiki Bar, I could go on and on about the amenities! Plus the room was comfortable, spacious, and clean.

We will def. stay here next time we come to Florida. 2 thumbs up!

The stay was wonderful and great memories were created, the staff was wonderful and always helpful with a big smile on their face.

The rooms were very clean, large in size and well taken care of, the different amenities for adults as well as children were plentiful and were enjoyed. This resort will be visited again and missed by all of us!

We had a good time. It's a great place for families. The staff was very friendly. We ordered most of our meals from the deli onsite. We tried many different items on the menu and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Our 4 year old son was obsessed with the grilled cheese sandwiches! We loved the waterslides and playground.

The one thing that soured the experience for us was the smoking, which was allowed in ALL areas of the resort. We are not smokers and found it very off putting that we could not take our son swimming without breathing in smoke. We could even smell the smoke up on our non-smoking room's balcony, which was 3 floors up. The sand right off of the deck leading to the beach looked like an ashtray. We even went to visit the gift shop at the motel and the employee was blocking the doors smoking. We think there should be some non-smoking areas available at the resort.

Me & ten of my other friends/family members stayed here for a week straight the week of the 4th of July.

We were at sandpiper for 10 days. It is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nicely decorated and clean. The room was cleaned every day by the staff.

I was a bit worried at first about going there after reading some of the negative reviews but once I got there I found the reviews were all false.

Would recommend the Sandpiper to everyone. Plan to come back next year.

My daughter had a softball tournament in panama Florida, so myself and her dad decided to watch the grandkids while she went to play ball - and we had a awesome time.

I would consider going there at least 2 to 3 times a year… great for grandkids… lots of activities, very good food, beach is beautiful. We parked our vehicle in the parking lot and did not return to it till it was time to checkout. Everything is close.

As for the adult activity this was awesome too… we ride a Harley bike and considering going to biker rally there.

Our family had a great time at your resort. One thing I would ask if you could please put a small slide in the outdoor pool area. We had to run back and forth to the big slide to the little slide since my 5 yr old was scared of the big slide and my 9 yr old LOVED the big slide.

My family has stayed at The Sandpiper Beacon twice this year. We will be returning next summer! The ammenities are awesome and the staff is very friendly! We also love the deli! It has the most awesome food on the beach!

From the time I had finished checking in, the folks at Sandpiper Beacon wanted to know what they could do to make my stay better. I had not gotten out of the lobby before a second person asked the same. These people really care about their guests. Not once during my stay did I pass an employee that they did not greet me in some way.

Several times I had stopped in the lobby to inquire about places to eat and directions. Always, they were happy to help. The staff on the grounds was always cleaning in some manner.

My room was very clean and most adequate for my needs. One thing they don't tell you is that there is a toaster in the room, at least in mine. If you pass this place by, you have made your first mistake for your vacation. Be sure to check out all of the things they have for children to do right there on their property!

I hope that I do not have to wait for another year to pass before returning to the Sandpiper Beacon. If I do have to wait, I will not spend the time I did this year looking for a place on the beach. I will go straight to them. The sand is barely 30 feet from the beachside rooms. Have a great time at the Sandpiper Beacon!

Overall the stay was awesome! The people were awesome as well and so nice and helpful!

The only problem I had with my stay is that we stayed in the hall right across from the Tiki Bar and every morning at 7 AM I think staff was in the hall. We woke up everyday from the noise in our hallway. People talking so loud, people yelling and getting yelled at, the carts going up and down the hall, the garbage cans getting painted. It was very annoying. You could hear every word very plainly and could hear every conversation that was taking place. If you like to sleep in do not stay down that hall that room 144 is in which is right across from the Tiki Bar. If we ever stay again we will have to stay on an outside room so hopefully there is no commotion at 7 in the morning.

Hi Sandpiper, I love the week we stay every year, I like that we are not forgotten by the staff.

I do have some suggestions like taking out the Kiddie pool and extending the slide pool with a bigger slide next to the yellow one! Also, the grassy area where you put the big slide; right there needs to be the dog walking area where they do their business and a wood pole supplying doggie clean up bags. They deserve a place with full grass to go and even fence it in so it can be off leash potty time. One more suggestion, love the arm bands but maybe 21 and under could have a different color for the Tiki Bar and surroundings. That would cut out wonder for the staff and 20 year olds.

But I give you a 10 every year! Be back in April and August 2012.

I just stayed at Sandpiper Beacon and LOVED it!

There was so much to do on the resort. Families had all sorts of activities to participate in and singles/couples had plenty to do as well.

The hotel room was beautiful and so much more than I expected. The beach view was amazing! With three pools, there was plenty of room to swim and it wasn't too crowded.I loved that the parasailing site was right beside the resort.

The customer service was awesome! Everyone was so friendly and wanted to make sure that we had a great time. I was super excited that my dog could go and he had a great time too!

I will definitely plan another visit there again!

This place has everything you could want in a family vacation. Pools, playground, tiki bar, movies, jet skis, parasailing etc. As well as lots of employees available all the time to help and keep an eye on things. You feel secure with your children here.

Close to all the rest of the beach strip entertainment and the rooms are clean and well equipped. I'll definitely be going back here next vacation, highly recommend this place for the average family.

Definitely the best bang for the buck for families with children.

They have everything for all ages, from the Tiki Bar to the Turbo Slide. We loved all the activities for everyone. There was so much to do we couldn't get to everything.

It was such a great experience we are already planning our next visit!

Where do I start! The staff is so nice, friendly! You will always see them doing something, if its not picking up a little piece of trash to helping someone with their luggage (we saw one of the staff members run into the streets to help a person with their luggage when it feel off the cart! Yeah… ran!)

They always are smiling. Lots to do for kids. My 3yr old never got bored, me and my husband never got bored, and my father in law and girlfriend never got bored, so there is something to do for all ages!

It is a very clean place also. Beaches are great too! This was one of the most relaxing vacations I have been on!

The resort and amenities are great. We took our three teenage daughters, our 21 year old and our 3 year old granddaughter. There's lots of entertainment on and off the resort. The pools and beach are very nice.

The only complaint I had was with the room. We stayed in the 3 room unit, which was plenty of room for us and had a large balcony. The problem was the room needed a lot of updating. The room had carpeting that was so dirty you had to where flip flops the whole time in order for your feet not to get dirty. The stove burnt every thing you tried to cook and the cabinets and counters were very old and dirty.

I think they have a great thing going and a nice resort atmosphere, but would not go back again and stay in the same room for the price we paid. Nice place to go if you don't mind a run down room. The staff on the other had were nice and helpful!

My wife, my three daughters and myself stayed from Aug 5 thru Aug 7. We had a wonderful time. It is one of the best short vacations that we have ever taken.

Everything was within walking or very short driving distance, if you even wanted to leave. The Resort had anything you needed for a great vacation. I am not sure why others have posted any bad comments because it was a great time at the Sandpiper Beacon. If I needed towels - went to the lobby and got them. If a blanket was needed - went to the lobby and got one. It seems there is a pattern here.

The employees were great and courteous and very helpful. Our next trip to Panama City Beach will be spent at your location.

Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! Your staff and resort made our stay the absolute best vacation we have ever been on. The staff was the nicest folks I have ever met. They knew what we needed BEFORE we even asked for it most of the time.

The rooms were nice and clean. And the view was fabulous. All the activities kept us and the kids well entertained, and we didn't even have to leave the resort unless we felt like it.

I cannot say enough about the All That Deli. It was all that and more. The food was wonderful, and the fact that they will give you free room service was amazing!

Very rarely was I able to go anywhere with my family and have everything we desired at one location. The incredible thing about Sandpiper Beacon is when you arrive you can literally park your car and not need to crank it back up till it's time to leave. All your needs (are catered for) at one location.

Well now it is just me and my daughter and although the family is smaller, we still would love to return to Sandpiper Beacon next month.

My family and I (plus our 2 daschunds) stayed at the Sandpiper in May 2011, and we had the time of our lives.

We are planning to come back to this wonderful place in October, so Sandpiper... have a room ready for us!

My family and I recently spent almost 2 1/2 days at the resort for the Roundtree and Carter Reunion.

I can say that we really enjoyed ourselves. Even though it rained most of the time it was still great. Just seeing how much our 4 year old and 2 year old granddaughters were enjoying themselves was worth it all. They would wake up early in the morning with the brochure listing the various events asking what we're going to do today.

My wife and I played on the beach. Then Friday Me, my wife, my sister-in-law, and brother-in-law rented a 5 seater cart and rode up and down Front Beach Road. I hope to visit again on a sunny day. Me and my other brother-in-law didn't get a chance to fish.

Just having the family together and enjoying one another is what it is about. Shouldn't wait until sad occasions to come together. Again I thank God for the time to relax and for a place we can all have fun.

We had out first family beach vacation and chose to stay at the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort. I can honestly say, it was the best decision I made!

We just returned from the Sandpiper and except from an unexpected charge at time of arrival and my video camera being stolen, the stay was amazing. The staff was so polite and helpful after our arrival, when we met in the hallways or pool area.

The entertainment for the kids and adults is something to be cherished. The kids made crafts that were reasonably priced to attend and they had beachside games for the adults and kids that families could enjoy.

The Karaoke at the "famous Tiki Bar" was an experience I will never regret. My daughter and niece and one of our family friends sang karaoke for the first time. My daughter was so excited she wanted to stay an extra night just to do the karaoke. It was an experience that we will definitely be enjoying in the years to come.

My kids have already stated they are ready to return again next year. There was so much going on and to do you truly didn't have to leave the resort to be entertained. Thank you Sandpiper for making this vacation definitely one to remember.

We are looking forward to returning for another season in November. Our many friends are like family.

There are a lot of activities at the resort. No need to go elsewhere. The staff has been more than helpful over the years.

Now my children are 15 and 13 and still love to visit Sandpiper, they say summer isn't summer without coming to the Sandpiper.

My kids and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights in 6/2011. Although it is older, it was a very pleasant stay with lots to do on site.

It was very clean and staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing that would have made the stay better was the linen looked like it needed to be replaced immediately.

We are a family of 4 and we had the best vacation in June 2011 that we have ever had.

We never had to leave the resort. Everything we needed was there, from a laundry mat to an ice cream store. All the staff was nice and helpful. The food there was great and lots of it for a great price. We stepped out of our room right on to a deck then off to the gorgeous sandy beach.

We are already planning our vacation there for next year! This is the best place for EVERYONE!

As I read some of these reviews before we actually went, I have to say I was a little skeptical of them... I never thought it would be as GREAT as the reviews said. Boy was I wrong! It was absolutely awesome!

My family and I had the best vacation we have ever had. So much to do. The live band (345 Express) was "off the chain"! The Tiki Bar was so nice, (so was the Tiki Punch! giggle, giggle...) games for the kids... and the Polynesian Show was incredible!

All of the staff was so friendly and eager to help with anything we needed. We can't wait to go back! We love you guys!

The only thing you guys need is to add is daycare for after hours for the adults... Then it would be perfect :)

We stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon over the Memorial Day weekend and had a blast! The staff was great and the rooms were very comfortable and clean!

Our room overlooked the ocean, the pool and you could step out on the balcony and hear the music from the Tiki Bar. It was fabulous.

The kids were entertained by the "Big Slide" and the Lazy River Ride. The best part was the big screen outdoor movie! The Sandpiper has it all! We will definitely return!

Chris was so sweet and such a help. When our room smelled like cigarette smoke, Chris was more than happy to move us to a better room than we had booked. Robert of the guest services staff showed us other rooms to choose from, and he also was very sweet. He even took photos of me my wife and 3yr. old son when we asked him. We also enjoyed the nice lady that made the balloon animals and the Hawaiian fire show was very good. Thanks for making our 27th wedding anniversary so special.

We stayed for a week and it was great! Very kid friendly! You don't need to leave the resort for anything.

There are always activities going on to keep the kids entertained. My 7yr old loved the inflatable waterslide! The staff was very friendly, informative, and interacted great with my kids.

The only problem I had was the dog in the room next door, it would bark nonstop first thing in the morning. Very annoying, I'm not an animal lover anyway.

Would definitely stay again though!

My family (2 adults and a 5 year old) loved being at the resort. The check-in was so pleasant. The resort has so much to do for all of us. It was very family friendly. Everyone was nice and respectful.

The activities are definitely worth attending, besides they are free! We stayed a week and enjoyed ourselves fully.

We stayed in a nice one bedroom (it had two beds). It was sufficient for our needs. They kept the rooms very clean. The beach is so beautiful. We made sure we watched the sunrise and sunset.

The hot tube, lazy river, mini golf, beach, indoor pool and outdoor pool was awesome! There is a lot to do on the resort but we also took time to sightsee the beautiful city. The resort is so close to other stores in case you have a need for something. We also took advantage of the discounts the hotel gave for the off resort snorkeling and dolphin tour.

On April 27, 2011, the Alabama tornados ripped through my town of Pleasant Grove, AL and took everything I owned with it. My family and I lost our home and everything in it. My mother came down 2 weeks later from Ohio and brought van loads of donations from people that I had never met.

We decided that night to take a quick jaunt to Sandpiper Beacon for the next day. Sandpiper has always been our home away from home. I had not seen my mother since Thanksgiving and was in much need of some R&R. Sandpiper's friendly staff let us relax and made us (once again) feel at home!

We are coming back for Memorial Day weekend for a longer stay and cannot wait to relax even more!

First time visiting Panama City Beach and the Sandpiper Beacon and it was amazing!

I came on this trip for some R&R but as soon as I got here I wished my kids were with me. This place is awesome; I will be bringing my kids in July. They are going to LOVE this place. I love the way it is so kid friendly.

I stayed in a room with a beachfront view and it was simply amazing! There are so many things for the kids to do, a deli with great food, a grocery store, and gift shop. Everything u need in one place.

This may have been my first time there but I can promise it will not be my last. I have found my new vacation spot!

It was the most organized bike week I have ever been to. The people at the Sandpiper Beacon were great, it was the best trip I have ever taken.

I simply loved every minute.

I came in April 2011 to celebrate my son's 5th birthday, and he and my 2 year old daughter had a BLAST! Never a dull moment... SO many kid friendly things to do in such a friendly atmosphere.

We come here whether its cold or hot. They have inside heated pools in the cold times of the year. We use the many pools when it's hot.

They have games in the Tiki Bar, and all the family can come, and they show the football games on flatscreen TVs. They have music all the time. They have events for the family of different kinds. They have a game room, pool tables, golf for kids, beachside playground, jet skis, sailing etc.

Everything is on the beach! Love it, you don't have to leave the resort!

My husband and I stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon a couple years ago and we'll be coming down in late spring this year. We knew from the moment we walked into our room that this was a place we'd love to come back to. We threw open the curtains leading to the balcony and had arrived in time to see a perfect Florida sunset! The next morning, we made coffee in our room and sat out on the balcony, counting the dolphins playing in the surf! There were plenty of places to go locally, but we chose to spend one day fishing, another on the beach, another exploring the coastline. Oh, and then there is "JP the Hobie Cat man" on the beach! We spent a couple days sailing and had dolphins racing alongside the Hobie Cat.

One of the things I liked best about the Sandpiper is that the management staff seemed to take an active interest in keeping the hotel a family friendly place. Most people were just there to vacation with their families and were no problem, but I also observed them corralling some slightly inebriated guests at one point. I felt like their efforts made this hotel a much safer place to be. The Sandpiper is definitely a great place to relax and leave worries behind.

We loved it that we were literally only a few steps from the beach and barely needed our vehicle the whole time we were there. I would recommend renting one of the kitchenette suites, only because it reduces the overall cost of ones' vacation if you are not having to eat out, especially when you've already spent the whole day out playing on the beach and exploring the area. Oh, did I mention the grills that are set up on the beach? We visited one of the local seafood shops, brought back some of the most awesome prawns and had a terrific genuinely native dinner that night.

We really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and are looking forward to our vacation in May 2011.

We have stayed at this resort, two years in a row, and realy dont want to go anywhere else for our vacation. The first year we went we barely left the premises, because there is so much to do right there at the resort. The price of the rooms is very reasonable, and includes the activities as well, which saves you money.

The staff were very helpful in making sure you were aware of what was going on at all times. The rooms are not the greatest, however, everything else makes it well worth the price and stay.

Even on spring break; the way the grounds are set up - separated family from party goers, and was very entertained.

We barely even went to the beach, because there was so much else to do!

We stayed here in October and I will definitely be staying again this Summer! It was a very wonderful place to stay with so many activities going on!

This was our first time staying at the Sandpiper Beacon Resort and we had the time of our lives. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the staff was very happy to serve you and would answer any question that you might have, with a smile on their face and great attitude.

With so much to do there the grandkids were never bored and we only left the resort 2 times the whole week we were there. Loved this place so much we are trying to get things lined up to make another trip this Thanksgiving.

We have children form the age of 11- 16 and they told us every day to go do things without them; they had stuff they wanted to do at Sandpiper. Every day was filled with activities for all of them! The staff was wonderful! The door man was full of information and so helpful.

The staff was great... The Beach was great... The rooms were great.

My family stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon the week of 10/11-10/15 and had a great time!

The kids (ages 5,10) stayed busy with all the activities they offered. Everything you need in one place, didnt leave the resort for the whole week.

First off, let me say that, Oksana and Keri at the front check-in deck are the most fun-loving, down to earth, awesome ladies that I have ever met at check-in. The place was booked so it took awhile to get our room, but they were always willing to help no matter how many times I bugged them. And, even during our stay they greeted me everyday with a smile and happy faces.

As for the Resort - it too is awesome. You can tell that it is an older resort, but they keep it maintained. It has six heated pools and my kids had to go to all of them everyday. Lol. They also had lots of activies planned everyday, so you never actually had to leave the resort. We had an ocean view room on the 3rd floor (and in case you are wondering, it was worth the extra money).

This was my first time to FL and I enjoyed it very much. We took the kids to Gulf World (kinda like Sea World), which is just down the road from the hotel. Pier Park is also close by if you want to do some shopping. We even went over to Panama City a couple of times. If you like Chinese, then I recommend that you try the Chow Time Resturant in Panama City (can u say All U can Eat Crab legs and much much more).

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. The white sandy beaches are right outside your room so you don't have to walk far to enjoy a day in the crystal clear water or suntanning on the beach. I only have one complaint, I do wish that we could have turned the lights off on the balcony at night, so I could have left the curtains open. Oh well, no matter every morning the sunrises were Beautiful. And every evening the sunsets were breathtaking!

I would definitely recommend the Sandpiper to anyone, with or without a family. You will have a good time.

PLEAZZZE have Mustang Sally all week or for the big nights next years Spring and Fall Thunder Beach!! They are by far the best entertainers / entertainment around today and we all just love them. Last night, 9/29, there were a lot of new folks that had never seen them before and now they are addicted to them as well. Book them NOW!!!! We love the Sandpiper and we love Mustang Sally, is there any better combination??? I don't think so!!!

We checked in Sept 20, 2010 and sadly out on Sept 25th. We felt welcome with our dogs from the time of check-in and this was a great relief for us.

Everyone on your staff that we came in contact with was cheerful and friendly.

Our room was clean and very comfortable and we were thrilled to awake to that ocean every morning.

What I found so happily unique was the way your facility could manage to get kids, adults of all ages and animals to just get along and play together well, like one big happy family. Loved it!

We went here on a long weekend with our son and family and her family, and had a fantastic time.

There was so much to do for the children, and many pools and much entertainment.

I have been here almost a week now and had NO idea you have room service. This should be upfront a tad more on your site. Talk about a suprise... Wow I have to honestly say the Hamburger plate was one of the best Hamburgers I have ever eaten in all my life, bar none.

A REAL burger! I highly suggest the food here. I ate at a few really popular food places here in town (very popular) but this put 'em to shame!

This is such a suprise and to have it on site feels like a little gem I found that no one really knows about.

I will come back to the Sandpiper Beacon on the merits of this food alone. Seriously!!! PS be sure to order room service and eat on the deck on the first floor overlooking the Beach... Trust me on this!

Several years ago my sister and I took my mother to the Sandpiper Beacon for a weekend get away. It was the first time my mother ever seen the ocean. September 9, she turned 79 years old and all she wanted was to see the ocean again, it took every penny I had but it was the best birthday she ever had.

I have only one mother and I made it happen, my sister is fighting breast cancer and couldn't join us this time, but our mother isn't a spring chicken but for the last 4 days she got a lifetime of memories thanks to the Sandpiper.

This was the second time that my family stayed at this resort and we had even more fun the second time!

We chose the Sandpiper Beacon again beacuse we loved all of the on-site activities available for the family.

We stayed in a beachside room that opened up to the beach from one door and the pool out of our other door. We enjoyed the convienience of keeping our kids entertained without having to run in a million directions to do so. The karoke night and movie night was so entertaining! My son was so excited over balloon animals, smores-making, and waterslide!

Food at the Tiki Hut was great too! The staff was so friendly and we had the pleasure of personally meeting an attendant name Robert--whom not only carried our bags to our room, but checked to see how we were doing throughout our stay and make sure we did not need anything.

I was also impressed that we were personally thanked for visiting the resort. I felt like this was a wonderful family trip that was accomadated nicely by the Sandpiper Beacon and its employees!

Can't wait to take the family again!

My family and just returned from our first stay at Sandpiper Beacon, and I really must say, everything was perfect.

We rented one of the Villas for the weekend (very early Sat.-Mon. morning) and I couldn't have been more pleased! The staff was excellent (thanks for everything Mike), even though we didn't check in until 2 a.m. Sat. morning.

The kids (11, 9 and 16 months) all loved the activities, and we adults loved the ease and security of not having to worry about how to keep them entertained. We also loved being able to cook or hit the grill. Just being able to relax and watch the sunsets was truly a blessing.

The website lived up to the expectations! We hope to share our experience with our friends and rather large family, so we'll be back soon. HOPE TO SEE Y'ALL THERE!!!

The Staff is excellent, they are there for anything you need. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. The best spot on the beach.

This was my first time staying at the Sandpiper Beacon. My two sisters and I loved every minute of it. I was impressed with all the fun activities that were offered, and the staff were so friendly and helpful from the moment of check in until we left.

We stayed between August 7th and 14th and loved it! We stayed in a Villa and the ocean was at our doorstep. Took our 22 month old for his first visit to the beach, and was glad it was here!

There's so much to do. We loved the Fire Dancing Show and S'mores night... not to mention trying to get a lobster for $2! My son kept opening the door looking for his prize LOL!

So sad we had to leave but looking forward to our next trip. Stay at the Sandpiper for FUN, cleanliness, and memories!

This was our second stay. The first in Aug of '09 and this in Aug of '10. Our first was great, just the two of us. Nice and quiet.

This time we took our daughter and grand-daughter and it was even better! There was something to do all day. The room was very nice, plenty of space for us including a 2 year old for a family vacation.

This place is top notch. All of the staff is very friendly and ready to help a moments notice.

Just got back today 8-19-10 from a 4 day stay. It was wonderful, the rooms were very nice, they were clean, nicely decorated and up to date.

My family of 5 come and stayed in May. I have a 14, 10 and 3 year old and it was something fun for each of us to do the whole time we were there!

We usually go to Myrtle Beach but after visiting The Sandpiper and us never having to leave the resort, we found it to be much more fun and less expensive. We will never stay any where else. Thank you Sandpiper for making our 2010 vacation a blast!!

I have stayed at the same place in Panama City for 6 yrs. I decided to changed this yr to someplace that offered more. I am so glad I did.

My daughters loved the Sandpiper. There was so much to do to keep them busy, I felt safe there, my daughter felt safe, it was clean, and the staff were absolutely awesome on any needs we had... We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon Resort for a week. There were 4 of us that stayed and we had a great time!

They have plenty for a family to do there. They show movies and have free popcorn. They have things to do each and every day you are there. They have six pools and the Gulf of Mexico is also great, with the sugar-white sandy beach.

There was no oil in the water or on the beach.

I reccommend this place for a family get away, if you don't have a good time there, there is something wrong!

We stayed here last October. We had an issue with our teenage son becoming misplaced for several hours. The staff was very helpful with helping us locate our son.

I would rate it 10 stars if possible! The Sandpiper is an A-1 place to stay with your family / chidlren / grandchildren.

Staff is always asking and checking to make sure everythign is okay, and to see if there are any problems (although we never had any), and most importantly if we are having a great time :)

My son and I visited for the first time in June. It was amazing!! We never once ran out of things to do. He talks about the Sandpiper to everyone he meets, and is for sure ready to come back.

We will never vacation at any other place on the beach!

We have been staying at the Sandpiper since 1994 and our stay only gets better!

Staff is always nice and helpful, and the rooms are always nice and clean. There is so much to keep parents and children busy, our children go from pool to pool, to lazy river, and we don't have to worry about them - staff is everywhere!

Our favourite thing to do is the family movie night on the beach. We have been there twice since May and if our girls have anything to do with it we will be back again this Summer!

We were here with our 2 sons, our daughter-in-law and 6 grandchildren. Had unbelievably awesome time. This place was someone's brilliant idea and we love coming here because the grown-ups enjoy it as much as the kids and everyone has a memorable and wonderful time!

Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you again how impressed my wife and I were with your facility. We ended up at the Sandpiper Beacon in a roundabout way, but we sure are glad we did. We had booked with another hotel but when we arrived it was not what we had booked, bad part of town, dirty room, I don't need to go on.

All of the staff was very courteous and professional. The first person we talked to and meet was a young man named Bobby. When we arrived at about 9:00 pm on Sat. night, he meet us and showed us several rooms which were available, they made sure we saw our room before checking in, after our earlier experience this was great. I also noticed the amount of staff which was moving around your complex. Made us feel secure about not only ourselves but our vehicle.

The rooms were very nice, but above all they were clean, as was the rest of the facility. With the amount of kids running around you would think there would be trash everywhere, but I never saw more than an occasional candy wrapper.

We have a little dog who is our "baby" and goes everywhere with us, it is very hard to find a nice facility which excepts pets, but we have found one.

We were really impressed with the amount of activities for kids and "big kids". There is so much to do a kid would never get bored, from the blow up water slide to the treasure hunt in the sand. We went to the magic show, the Polynesian night and caught a movie one night on the blow up screen. The huge beach area you have is very nice and safe.

If a family is looking for a place to go, the Sandpiper Beacon is the place.

Me and my family went to the Sandpiper Beacon for summer break. The lazy river ride, indoor pool, deli, tiki bar were some of our favorites but everything there was amazing!

My family and I stanyed at The Sandpiper Beacon and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the food at the deli was great! The Tiki Bar was great! The rooms were very clean. I really enjoyed the family games.

I am already planning to take my family back again nexted year. The only complainte we had was that it went by way too fast!

I came with some friends who have a large family. Their children's ages range from 6 to 16. There was always something for all of them to do!

We were there June 14-18th and it was the best. This was our first time visiting The Sandpiper Beacon.

Took my 9 year old grandaughter and she is still talking to all of her friends about what a great time she had! I keep asking her if she is glad to be home and she says yes but when can we go back to Sandpiper?

The staff was all amazing, but Chris at the front desk rocks. Didn't meet anyone that seem like they didn't want to be at their job.

Stayed with 6 adults and 4 children. Great fun for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Tiki Bar is great for the whole family. Had lots of events for the kids. This may be one of the older places on the beach but it sure is fun.

If you have a family with kids this is the place to go. I hope we are able to go again. Everyone in our group loved this place and did not want to leave!
