Take a look at what our guests have to say...
Tiffany - Wellington, AL |
WOW! We visited the Sandpiper for the first time in August 2009. We normally stay at the opposite end of the beach but we decided to try something new. We had 5 children from age 7 to 12 that were totally amazed! This was the best vacation we ever had... The Tiki Bar was awesome and not to mention the views! We are already planning to come back in May. We LOVE The Sandpiper now, and will not stay anywhere else.

We have stayed there 3 times with our family. We have six kids from infant to 16, there is something for everyone. Plenty to do, the rooms are great, all you need is with blocks if not right there. We stay a week, and it's the best week of the year for us.

We used to live near Panama City Beach and often took the kids there just to spend a great weekend ever once in a while. We really enjoyed staying at the Sandpiper Becon then, they had clean, spacious rooms and a lot for the kids to do and Resturants near by. It was just a great place to go relax and let the kids have a fun weeknd. Now we live in KY and have been staying at another resort when we vacation in Panama City Beach, but are thinking we might just stay at The Sandpiper this year. We are looking forward to checking it out again.

My husband, I and our daughter (8 months old at the time) stayed at the Sandpiper this past summer (early August) after our wedding it was our honeymoon of sorts. Originally we were suppose to go without the baby for the week but being a new Mom that was just too hard for me to do. My Dad who hates the beach actually refered us to Sandpiper so I knew if he was refering it, it must be nice (it takes something pretty special to impress him, which obviously it did),it totally was wonderful. I hadn't been to Panama City beach in about 9 years so I was quite surprised to seen how it had grown, I was also surprised at how quiet the rooms were, my daughter slept right through the bands and entertainment my husband and I were enjoying from our balcony many evenings with the doors closed behind us. The indoor lazy river was perfect to take our daughter in, not too cold but not sizzling either we would often go in the evening it was a great way to relax our daughter and enjoy family time. Our daughter would just laugh and smile as we carried her around she loved all of the sights and sounds, as did we. I can truly say The Sandpiper Beacon is wonderful for all ages and all types married, dating, and single all alike. We enjoyed our time so much my husband and I actually decided to come back in late spring 2010 forgoing a cruise which we had intially thought of taking. Can't wait to come back and enjoy our time!

"Oh my God"... That is what I thought when I saw the ocean for the first time. Then when I got to the Motel it was the best thing in my life - the pools, the beach, the bars just everything... That was the best week of mine and my sons life. We are from KY and never had so much fun. We are planing to come back this Summer for our 2nd Summer vacation and it's an every year planed vacation.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Sandpiper Beacon last summer. There was so much to do for the kids and our family. I was so surprised at all the things you guys had to offer. The ads and brochures sounded great but once we got there we were amazed at the beautiful resort and beach area. I would definitely recommend the Sandpiper Beacon to anyone... especially those with children. We had a fantastic time and are planning on returning this summer.

I brought my 3 sons and their friends down for a 5 day vacation this summer. We all had a great time, they all got to do activites designed for their age groups. The younger kids enjoyed the pools, put-put golf, and the games in the tikki bar, while the older teens got to do the what teens do. The staff was great and treated everyone like a family member and even helped finding entertainment for all of us to enjoy. I would recommend this resort to any one and have done so...Thanks for a great summer, A great summer I could afford.....

My husband & I have been spending our winters here for the last ten years. We have had many good times and made a lot of good friends. The staff has always treated us well and there is many exciting funtions to participate in if you want to socialize such as line dancing, water aerobics, bingo, dancing to live music 3 times a week. We even have pot luck dinners at least once a month and planned casino trips to Biloxi once a
month. In our opinion this is the only place to stay. They are also pet friendly and allow small dogs. We have never owned one but people that own pets are some of the nicest ones.

We stayed at The Sandpiper on Christmas Eve while travelling to Family Christmas. We really loved this place. We were allowed to have our small dog who got to see the beauty of the Gulf of Mexico right from his own room. We searched tirelessly for a pet friendly accomodation on the beach.
The room was great, The staff was friendly as well as helpful. We are looking forward to staying again on our next trip!
This place had it all, My son and I felt very comfortable and safe during our stay. Thanks to the whole staff, hope to see you all again soon!

Two of my best girlfriends and one of their little girls age 3 at the time stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon in late March. We had a BLAST every
night. The staff was super super friendly. TONS to do. All kinds of neat free stuff in the lobby like razors, face wash, tooth paste, tampons, shampoo, conditoner, wax strips are just a few of the things we racked up
on. I loved waking up early and drinking coffee and sitting out on their large back deck. One of my friends and I went drinking and dancing every
single night at the tiki bar. It was the best time I think I have had in my life. My friend with the daughter spent a lot of time in the lazy river and
large indoor pool with her 3 yr old where she learned how to swim without floaties!! Plus this hotel is located walking distance from EVERYTHING!! You
can walk to the best restaraunts, rent mopeds, load up on souvenirs and everything's a dollar or purple haze. The pier park is just right down the road.
Its just awesome, totally toallly awesome. Only bad thing that I experienced the whole time was one night at the tiki bar a young couple brought their infant child in a stroller to the tiki bar where they were BOTH drinking and
the music is so loud it is almost deafening and the child was allowed to be there. I did not understand that. That might just be some Florida law. I don't know why it was allowed but it was kind of a buzz kill. I hated to
see an infant exposed to all that. They stayed until well after midnight. I reported it to a security gaurd and a police officer who were hanging around the tiki bar and they seemed none too concerned. But other than that an
AMAZING trip and I WILL for sure be back.

I have just been going totally thru all of this December Newsletter, it is the best yet... I love you adding the temperature... It makes me sad tho, cause i wanna be there sitting and looking I dont care how small a room I had, I would rather be there at my Beloved Sandpiper than here in this ice and snowy Cincinnati!
I have been there 3 times this year so maybe I will win the vacation. I will be there quick if I do... non stop drive in my car 12 hours...
Have a wonderful Christmas and I will be missing you.
Keep up these great Newsletters they just wet people's whistles to get there.

We stayed there July 2009. My 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old had a blast. There was a lot of activities for the children. We thought it was clean for a beachfront hotel. We were very impressed to see that they changed the bedspreads everytime someone checked out (which, I'm sure just about everyone has heard those horror stories.) We have recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Don - Muscle Shoals, AL |
We recently stayed at Sandpiper Beacon with our Grand Kids (their first trip to the beach). Every aspect of the stay was first class.
All of the staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The only problem we encountered was the kids trying to decide what to do next. What a great problem to have!
Play ground, Water slides, Games, Goofy Golf, Lazy River, and on and on. The room was clean, well kept and had everything we needed, as advertised. Maid service great. On our last night I attended the free Mustang Sally concert in the bar. I have been in the Music business (award winning, producer, writer, musician) for 47years and I consider Mustang Sally to be in the top 10 acts I have seen and heard.
Thanks Sandpiper Beacon for knowing the difference and having such quality entertainment. My wife and I are thinking about slipping away for another visit in Oct. Whenever our family visits Panama City Beach there is no place to stay but the Sandpiper Beacon.

My family and I stayed at this resort in July 2009 for 4 nights. We had a beachfront view which was great to always see the Gulf when looking out the window. The beach was right there and places to eat were close by.

My family and some friends stayed at the Sandpiper from July 19 to 24, and it was great. This was our first year to stay and we are already planning next summers vacation with some more of our friends that want to come and check it out.
We have stayed in many places in Florida over the last 7 years because my husbands children live down there , but this has to be the best place we\'ve stayed. I did not have to worry about the 3 teenage girls staying out because they met new friends while there. The rooms were nice and every thing you need is right there on the premise.
See ya again next year!

Before coming to Panama City Beach, we did a lot of research into the best place to stay... and everywhere kept on mentioning how great The Sandpiper Beacon was. We booked our tickets, and flew out from the UK almost not expecting the place to not live up to all the hype... but it was true! Even though you are so close to all the Panama City Activities, restaurants, and shopping on the beach - and just one mile from Pier Park - you could easilly stay at the resort all the time.
We loved the fact The Sandpiper has it's own grocery store on-site, which is really helpful for those last-minute needs. There were about 6 pools, a hot tun, and we really enjoyed the Lazy River!
Between the parasailing the jet-skis, the beach volleyball, and the mini-golf on-site, we only just had enough time to enjoy the beautiful gulf of mexico, and lounge around on the 30 feet of white sandy beach in front of the property. This place is great for families - everyone there was having a good time, and the staff were incredibly helpful whenever we needed anything. We can't wait to get back and spend some more time in the Tiki Bar!
Cheers Sandpiper!

We stayed 6 nights for our first time in panama city beach. This hotel had great prices and there was something to do all the time for adults and kids. The rooms were clean and spacious and we had maid service daily. The pools and beach were clean and we observed staff checking the pool chemicals throughout the day. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Thanks for a fun week!

Danny - Jasper, AL |
I have visited your resort several times and just this month I
brought my entire family which included my 75 year old grandmother. We all
found it to be very pleasant and alot of fun. The staff was more than
helpful. No matter if they were ask for
directions or to accomadate some of our needs they were on top of it
promptly. I can say that I actually witnessed a guest at the resort have a
issue with the pool step and when he told the staff about it they dropped
everything they were doing and adressed the safety issue. This really
impressed me along with the many other things such as clean rooms, them
testing the pools everyday, and making sanitation a must. I felt as if I was
at home and will return again in the future. So thank you for making my
family vacation a blast!!!!!!!!!
July 2009 |
Danny - Talladega, AL |
Was very surprised at how big and clean the rooms were, it is an
older resort but you cant beat the prices or everthing they offer. This is a
great place for the family you really dont even have to leave the resort. We
will be back in Sept and are bringing all the grandkids. Loved the free
movie night and the staff.

WOW! We really enjoyed the Sandpiper Resort. The staff was
wonderful especially Chris. His hospitality was exceptional. Chris made
sure my family and I had an extraordinary vacation. Thanks Chris for the
stupendous service you demonstrated while we were at Sandpiper. However,
there are so many different things you could do at this resort. Starting
with the lazy river it relaxes your body, the beach view and the private
comfort you have on the beach, karaoke was nice, the belly dancers and the
guy dancing with the fire were great. The movie for the kids with free
popcorn and the huge screen was a treat for the entire family. The disco
party at night was awesome. This place has a lot to offer and we will
definitely be back soon. One more thing we stayed in the Villas, which
allowed us to have our own view, private balcony and grill to cookout.
Thanks again Sandpiper staff for the wonderful vacation.

June 2009 |
Stacie - Louisville, KY |
This was our first visit to the resort- but it will not be our last. The
resort was kept extremely clean with security and friendly staff visible
24/7. Every accomadation imaginable was available including an air pump to
blow up our rafts! EVERYTHING was just as or BETTER than described and
pictured on the website. The free family activities were incredible
including a movie night on the deck with free popcorn, the hula dancers and
a huge blow up water slide the whole family enjoyed. There truly was
something for everyone and the beauty of the beach was just icing on the
cake!

My husband and I have just returned from a 6 day stay at the sand
piper, we loved it ,lt may be an older resort, but with the staff and all
the extras they offer , it is never boring , this is the 2nd time this year,
and it wont be our last. I think the tiki bar is great too! For anyone who
decides to go, it is worth every penny and your time!

My family and I just returned from vacation at the Sandpiper Beacon
Resort. It was our first family vacation in years! There was always
something going on and we were never bored. Our group ranged from 8yrs old
to 55 yrs old...I liked the fact that the young ones could come to the Tiki
Bar and have fun at the playground while the older ones enjoyed a cocktail &
karoke. We all had the best time and are already looking into returning in
September!

I love this place!! My Dads Dad took him, my Dads taken me a few
times, and this is my second time going with my family. Thats 3 generations
going to the same hotel. We love it. Theres no other hotel that has so many
things to do for free. You\'ll always stay busy, they have a lot of pools,
miniature golf, arcade, shows, and the tiki bar is infamous!!! We love it
and everything is so close by. Parasailing, jet skis, banana boat, etc is
all right in front of the resort so you dont have to walk the beach to find
it, but it's not in your way either. We love this hotel and I would
recommend it to anyone. It was one of if not the first hotel on the beach
and it is stil going strong.

they will do everything possible to fix the problem. Everything that you
really need to do is there at the resort. This resort also has about 4 grills
on the property for the resort guest to use.The view from the room was
great. The resort was always clean including the beach staff always out and
cleaning. The Tiki Bar is great, also the shows were great .

Having just recently returned home from an 8 day vacation at the
Sandpiper Beacon, I just have to sit here and reflect on what a wonderful
vacation we had there. Everything was perfect. Our third floor room had a
fabulous view of the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful white sandy beach. We
especially loved the lazy river ride, the hot tub and the great swimming
pools. It was so relaxing to spend an evening at the Tiki Bar with our
friends. There were 12 of us coming as far away as Canada. Thank you
Sandpiper Beacon and all of your wonderful staff. You helped to make this a
vacation we'll never forget.

Angela - Jackson, MS |
This was a great vacation within a vacation. We had been down in
Orlando for a few days but wanted to split the return trip up. We didn't
really have a plan but had a hotel magazine with us and saw the Sandpiper
ad. Called from the road and Mike gave us excellent directions to the front
door. Our room was just great with a view of the gulf and a pretty stretch
of white sand. We plan on making the trip at least a couple of times this
summer and this will definitly be our hotel of choice. If you are looking
for a real American beachy summer thing, this is a great place to start.
May 2009 |
Tracy - Leesburg, GA |
This is a great family vacation spot! We stayed there for the first
time in summer of 08 and will be back this summer. The kids had a blast and
it was very relaxing for me and my husband. I defintely say to come and
enjoy! See ya soon

Dale - Temple, TX |
I just stayed a week at Sandpiper Beacon, and I loved it! The
people working there are wonderful, and very friendly. I'll bet there are 3
employees for each guest, so everything is handled quickly and smoothly. We
had a group of 12 people staying in 5 rooms, and the only problem was, I
didn't get a gulf view room like all of my friends. Next time I will have a
view of the gulf like they had. It was my own fault, I told them I didn't
need a view, but I was so wrong about that. The view is spectacular. We
grilled out one night, and used the grills provided by the resort. The Tiki
Bar is great, and we always ended our days with a cool cocktail. I will
return, as I really had fun while I stayed there.
May 2009 |
Kathy - Fayetteville, TN |
Are you kidding me?.....We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Florida!
2009 will mark our 5th anniversary to return to the Sandpiper! Fall break in
October is awesome, our crew of 18+ (ages 2 to 62) will arrive ready to
play, kids roam freely without worry, Tiki bar entertains us all in the
evenings, even the kids have learned to shoot pool, hula dance with the
Polynesian dancers, karoke with the DJ, absolutely beautiful white-sand
beaches, great staff, parasailing, jet ski rental right there on the beach.
You never have to leave the motel, it has laundry facility, grocery store,
restaurant, bar, ice cream shop, gift shop, indoor pool, outdoor pools,
walking distance to several great restaurants, coupons in the lobby for
anything seasonal. We began our stay for 3 days, then 4, now we stay our
entire 7 days, the kids cry when it is time to leave! All 4 of my
grandchildren cannot wait to get up in the morning, grab their breakfast on
the poolside patio, then they all enjoy opening up the hot tub by 9 AM. I
have more photos of the family at the Sandpiper than anywhere else all year
long! Since our bunch is large, a couple 2 bedroom suites and a couple
smaller rooms are required close together. I now require ground level so
reservations are needed. I pay an extra premium but worth it not to tackle
stairs for the kids and my for knees sake. Each year we return to alot of
the same folks from other states who do just like us, bring their families,
and are always glad to see each other, just like an extended family! Last
year in '08 we all attended a beautiful beach wedding in our wet bathing
suits, and we didn't even know the bride and groom! The children really
thought that was so cool. Everyone there has a great time! We will be back!

This was our first family trip staying in a resort. My husband and
I took our 4 and 12 year old and my brother-in-law and his wife brought
their 15 year old.We all had a great time. The kids were so tired when they
got back to the rooms that they showered, ate and went to bed by 10 p.m.
each night. The kids got glitter tattoos, danced at the Tiki Bar, had a
virgin daquiri, swimmed alot, and we took plenty of pictures. We are
planning another trip for this summer. The rooms were nice and clean and
there was quite alot of activities at the resort to the point that we
didn't have to go anywhere else.

I have referred many friends and family members to this resort.
They have all loved it! The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are
great and they have a variety for all size groups. The resort has something
for everyone. There is so much to do on site that you can stay on property
for your entire vacation. It is the ideal vacation spot for anyone on a
budget.

Sabron - Tampa, GA |
I have stayed at the Sandpiper 3 times this year already. It is
GREAT! They had a polynesian show with hula dancers in the tiki bar the
last time I was there. They even gave all of my kids free leis and allowed
them to get up on the beachfront stage to try to do the Hula - I couldn't
believe the entertainment, and it was all free! On Saturday they had a lady
like you would have at a birthday party giving all the kids free Glitter
Tattoo's. Needless to say, the kids had a blast. Their beach is long,
wide, and very clean. I had an umbrella and chair right next to the
water's edge. The beach service treated us like royalty. Then, after
playing on the beach all day, a guitar duo started playing beach music on
the back deck right as the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico - it was awesome.
We have been three times this year already, and all three times everything
was up to my expectations.
May 2009 |
Jennifer - Cuthbert, GA |
AWESOME place to stay!!! The staff is great, and Lisa is the
best!!! You have everything you might need right there, or within walking
distance. The rooms were clean and in great shape. I love that this is not
one of those nast high rises that block the beach. The staff is very prompt
in assistance in everything. There is always something going on for people
of all ages. I have stayed at some other locations just to try them out,
but always come back to the sandpiper. It is a great value, and a great
location. I have been twice this year, and will be back again.

We just left the Sandpiper yesterday and I just wanted to say we really had a good spring break. We felt very safe with all the nice security guards around and were very pleased to see the manager walking around checking on all the guests all night long. Every time he walked by us he would tell us to be safe or ask us if everything was alright. Being with a group of young girls it was nice to see that everyone was watching out for us. Can't wait for next year. :)

My husband and I celebrated our 6th anniversary in PCB last May
and ran into a lady who recommended The Sandpiper to us for a vacation with
our children. She must have been an angel. We stayed 5 days last July and I
just reserved a week for this June. The resort is very welcoming and gives
you a sense of safety that you probably will not find anywhere else. I can
not wait for June to get here and my kids are just as excited! The Sandpiper
comes up in conversation on a daily basis and most of my son's journal
entries also are about The Sandpiper!! You will not find a more family
oriented vacation anywhere!!!
March 2009 |
Myles - Houston, TX |
This place is amazing.
I just got through staying at the Sandpiper March 8 - 13. The first thing
the staff did when they saw me, was greet me. It is the best place by far
for any college student to stay. I am sure coming back next spring break.
March 2009 |
Tracy - Hokes Bluff, AL |
This summer will make our 4th time staying at the Sandpiper, my
chidren love it there! We have tried suggesting other vacation destinations
with no avail, Sandpiper has soo much to offer my 2 young teenage boys, so
we dont have to constantly entertain them or hear their woes of boredom,
lol! For a family vacation, the Sandpiper can't be beat! and as a single
mom, it has to be affordable for me!
March 2009 |
Jessica - Andalusia, AL |
This is the best place for a family to stay on the whole Panama City Beach area! It has everything you could possably need and the staff are very friendly and helpful. My children love the water slides and the heated pools are a MUST for those cool early fall nights. One thing is for sure.. no matter when we decied to come down and stay at the Sandpiper, we have always been welcomed here! Oh and I forgot to mention that the view here is just breathtaking? I stayed at the Sandpiper Beacon Feb 11-15 2009 and it was AWESOME.
There were about 17 of us in our group and not one complaint. The kids had
a blast and the adults had even more fun!! Our last night was the night of
the Mardi Gras bash and it was fantastic our kids were there enjoying
karoke, dancing, the adults enjoying some drinks just hanging out having a
great time. The rates are very affordable for your average family who want
a bang for their buck!!

I have attended Spring Break for many years in Panama City Beach, and the Sandpiper Beacon host our annual Classmate USA Spring Break Model Search...the swimsuit calendar they send you with your reservation for Spring Break. Take it from me...I know the staff and family of the Sandpiper Beacon, and there is no better place to enjoy your Spring Break than at the Sandpiper Beacon...besides, that's where we shoot all the beautiful models for the swimsuit calendar!

Sharyn - Rome , NY |
This summer will be our 4th visit to the Sandpiper Beacon. I agree with all the testimonials. The most important thing in my mind was how safe I felt my grandchildren were. There aren't a lot of rules and regulations which allowed everyone to relax and have a great time. I hope the Sandpiper remains just as it is....family friendly.
February 2009 |
Melissa - Nashville , TN |
We came down there for the first time in 2008 with our best friends
and we had the time of our lives. We are paying extra this year just to have
the same rooms and a longer stay because this hotel is perfect for
relaxation and family fun. We will keep coming back year after year. Keep up
the great work.
February 2009 |
Henry - Columbus , GA |
My wife and I recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary together at the Sandpiper Beacon. I must say that the service and the rooms was the best that I've ever seen at any hotel. I will recommend the sandpiper to all my family and friends and hope to see you this summer. I can't wait even all of the people on the beach were extremely nice to us.

We chose this resort sight unseen from the website only in 2006. We have been back every year since. We invited friends to go with us in 2008 and they absolutely loved it. We are returning in 2009, with our friends and likely from now on. This place is great! Keep it up!
January 2009 |
Judy - Porterfield , WI |
Sandpiper Beacon is PCB before the concrete jungle moved in. We have stayed repeatedly and plan to continue to return if Sandpiper remains and remains the affordable quality experience it has been. In the distant past we have had a issue or two concerning staff, but the staff of our visit
in 2008 were outstanding! Fair, honest, Friendly in a warm way. Not cool politeness. They actually seem to enjoy guests as persons and treat them as such. There is no worse feeling on vacation than to be treated like less
than a person. Even after having worked with the stress of college spring break the staff are warm and friendly. This is not a stuffy and rigid elite hotel, but a clean and friendly place for families and couples alike. The sort of place where you feel comfortable and at home. The rooms are
moderate, but clean and well worth the price. The amenities are endless. Most of them included with the price of the room! We enjoy our RV but parked it at the Sandpiper last year in order to stay there. This year I think we'll just leave it home and stay at the Sandpiper. It costs as much
to camp as to stay at the Sandpiper and the Sandpiper has so much to offer; and that beautiful beach!! We love it and hope it remains. It is the only place left on PCB where we care to stay. When they are gone, after 20 years of visiting PCB, we're gone. Please don't ever change.
January 2009 |
Krystal - Clarkston , MI |
Honestly, I am a Panama City spring break veteran. I love this resort and i had my senior spring break here and 2 when i was in college it is the best time you will ever have. Attractive people everywhere, lots to do, if you are a party type of person the fun place is perfect for you and
your crew!
January 2009 |
Chris - Trenton , OH |
Sandpiper Beacon is the best place to stay in panama city beach for springbreak. I had some of the best times of my life at this resort from the staff to the way everything set up, from tiki bar to the dj, the lazy river - too much to list. The party never stops. Been all over panama city beach and the sand piper beacon puts other resorts to shame. Looking forward to coming back spring 2009 if you're reading this don't think about making reservations, do it now...
January 2009 |
Jacque - Mauckport , IN |
The quality of the management and employees is excellent. Cost at this time of year is wonderful. The older boys are 11 and they can run and play on the beach or lounge in the lazy river or swim in one of the pools and we do not have to worry about them. Tiki Bar is great fun, no cover charge and happy hour every day. We were there with our family for our 2nd annual Christmas get away and had a 2 bedroom unit booked after 2 days the unit was not working for us. We had a 19 month old that goes to bed at 8:00
and the door was in his bedroom. They did not have any other 2 bedrooms available for us but they gave us 2 rooms one that was a 1 room unit with 2 beds and the other was a 1 bedroom with 2 beds in one room and 1 bed in the
living room. This worked perfectly. The baby was in the separate bedroom and we had an exit from the living room so we did not have to disturb him. Front desk suggested this for us and did not charge us a penny more. Thanks
for the great stay, see you in May, July & Dec. this year.
