St. Andrews State Park

St. Andrews State Park is just a short drive from the Sandpiper Beacon, and just like the Hotel, is pet friendly. Well known for its sugar white sands and emerald green waters, St. Andrews State Park is a beautiful area for Sandpiper Beacon guests to enjoy all year round.

A former military reservation, St. Andrews State Park has over one-and-a-half miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and Grand Lagoon. Water sports enthusiasts who have already tried all that the Sandpiper Beachservice & Watersports has to offer, can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and canoeing. The park also has two fishing piers, a jetty, and a boat ramp, so there's lots of chances to catch your dinner and grill it on the beach deck behind the Sandpiper!

St. Andrews State Park also offers two nature trails wind through a rich diversity of coastal plant communities - great for Sandpiper guests who enjoy bird-watching... you might even spot some sandpipers!

Shell Island Boat Tours

Shell Island Boat Tours and shuttles are available during the Spring and Summer seasons. Shell Island is a natural, undeveloped island, which lies between the Gulf of Mexico and St. Andrews Bay.
