Whether you’re an individual, couple, family, or group of friends, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to accommodation options at Sandpiper Beach Beach Resort & Tiki Bar. There’s something for every preference and need, from an individual seeking a budget-friendly bed to an extended family seeking space and privacy.
However, as easy as it is to choose to book your stay at Sandpiper Beacon, choosing the best room can be a little trickier. There are so many great options! If you need a helping hand, consider the following factors in the decision-making process:
The Number of Travel Companions
One of the most significant factors affecting where you’ll choose to call home for the duration of your stay in Panama City Beach is how many people you’re traveling with. Not all rooms and suites are suitable for all numbers!
For example, some of the studios with a kitchen comfortably sleep two, while others sleep four or six. Some of the one-bedroom suites sleep six, while others sleep eight. As you explore the condo options, two-bedroom suites, and villa townhouses, you’ll learn that they all sleep at least eight, while the condos and two-bedroom suites may also sleep up to 10. The two-bedroom beach houses also sleep 10.
For larger travel groups, set your sights on the four-bedroom beach house, which comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests. Let the occupancy options guide you to the right booking for your travel group.
Your Preferred View
Some people simply want somewhere comfortable to rest their heads at night and will spend their days exploring local attractions. Others want to split their time between their accommodation and the local area to maximize their enjoyment of the city. As a result, don’t forget to consider the view when choosing your room.
If you want to spend as much time as possible at the beach resort, taking advantage of all the amenities, including swimming pools, an arcade room, beach service, and a Lazy River, a Gulf view can be the icing on the cake. In that case, opt for accommodations marketed as direct waterfront/beachfront.
For guests who know they will be spending limited time in their room or suite, a limited-view room can be a great compromise. Visitors who will be spending most of their time away from the resort may be happy to book a non-waterfront room.
There are at least four different view options at Sandpiper Beacon:
- Direct waterfront views
- Poolside/waterfront views
- Partial view
- Non-waterfront views
Pay close attention to which view you’re choosing when booking your stay.
Kitchen Requirements
With so many great eateries in and around Panama City Beach, many guests at Sandpiper Beacon don’t intend on cooking during their stay. After all, a vacation away from home can also mean a vacation away from a hot stove!
When the time comes to book your accommodations in PCB, consider how you and your travel group plan to eat. Will you be dining out often? Will you be spending a great deal of time at the on-property places to eat at Sandpiper Beacon? Or, will you be putting your culinary skills to the test and cooking for you and your loved ones? Let your plan guide your accommodation decisions, as not all rooms and suites accommodate home chefs.
If you opt for a studio unit with a kitchen, which can sleep two, four, or six guests, your room amenities will include:
- Full-size fridge-freezer
- Stovetop oven
- Microwave oven
- Coffee maker
- Toaster
Studios without a kitchen don’t have any cooking facilities. However, they do have a mini fridge and a microwave oven for snacks if you’re feeling peckish. All other accommodations include cooking essentials, and some also have a dishwasher and full-size appliances. If you book a beach house, you’ll even have access to private beachside grills!
Your Space Needs
Your family might fit in a studio unit, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be comfortable in such a conservative floor plan. That’s why it’s so important to consider your space needs, not just the number of people in your travel group.
Typically, couples feel comfortable in studios, but families and groups enjoy more privacy in one- and two-bedroom suites where they can shut themselves away in different bedrooms and areas.
Preferred Sleeping Arrangements
You’ll likely be spending much of your free time enjoying the wonderful on-site amenities at Sandpiper Beacon, such as a round of mini golf or a sweet treat at the ice cream shop. However, once you return to your room thoroughly exhausted after a day of fun activities, you likely want to lay your weary head on a bed that suits your preferred sleeping arrangements.
Don’t just take note of how many people a room, house, or suite will fit. Consider the bed options. For example, a villa townhouse sleeps eight people across a King bed, two double beds, and a Queen sofa sleeper. If you’re traveling with seven other people, you’ll need to ensure that at least two of them will sleep soundly on the sofa sleeper.
The same goes for the two-bedroom beach house, with bed options including a set of bunks; at least two people out of a group of 10 will need to be comfortable with this sleeping arrangement.
Outdoor Space
There are so many reasons why guests return to Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort & Tiki Bar year after year, but one at the top of the list is the idyllic outdoor environment. No matter where you are at the resort, you’re just a stone’s throw from the beach and wonderful outdoor entertainment areas.
The icing on the cake is that many of the available accommodations have private outdoor spaces. If spending time with loved ones outside with (or without) a view is your idea of bliss, consider your preference when booking your room.
Two- and four-bedroom beach houses, as well as the villa townhouses, each have two private balconies for guest enjoyment.

The beauty of staying at Sandpiper Beacon is the number of room and suite options available to suit a range of budgets.
