The 5 Best Panama City Beach Taco Restaurants

The Craft Bar

The fish tacos and the shrimp tacos at the Craft bar will leave you licking your fingers and craving more.

Mahi-mahi blended with their secret taco seasoning tastes so good with a slight chargrilled taste.

The soft, warm flour tortillas hug the filling, making it the perfect food to snack on after a day at the beach.

If you don’t want to try the fish tacos then their smoked pulled pork tacos hit the spot too. They don’t have the same Gulf twist to them, but they still have a southern appeal that’s hard to resist.

Shuckums

Shuckums seems to be one of those well-loved local Panama City Beach restaurants. It’s got a good reputation and guests really like eating there.

While most people know them for their oysters, their fish tacos are also quite the catch.

Chose from tender, grilled grouper or flaky catfish seasoned with their signature house seafood seasoning.

The only ‘catch’ is that you only get a pair and not three. Since they come drizzled with a delicious homemade chipotle ranch, you might as well just order two servings.

Tip: order your fish tacos with a side of fresh Gulf shrimp loaded with all the toppings for a perfect sharing plate.

Diego’s

Diego’s knows burritos. They know how to make a pretty great margarita too.

But it’s their grilled mahi-mahi tacos served in warm corn tortillas that keep us coming back for more.

They have so many different and delicious toppings to choose from, you can customize your tacos and never have the same twist twice.

The house-made mango pico de gallo is a must-try.

If you skipped breakfast, try a fully loaded mahi-mahi burrito or their ever-popular spinach tortilla shrimp quesadillas.

Finn’s Island Style Grub

Locals know Finn’s, and it’s a popular place to recommend since their food is so satisfying.

Finns uses seasonally available mahi-mahi and cobia for a tasty, flaky taco bite.

We’ll blame the “Finns Crack” which is what they call their house blend of spices.

Their tacos all come generously topped with veggies, cabbage, pico, shredded cheese and mild taco sauce.

Then they get crowned with a dollop of yogurt sauce and a lime wedge. Simple yet satisfying.

You might get lucky and time your visit with special catches like grilled red snapper, ahi tuna, grouper or swordfish.

Coconuts Restaurant

Did we save the best for last? Yes, 100%.

But you might not appreciate just how good the tacos at Coconuts are until you’ve tried the others.

You know, you’ve tried the rest, now try the best kinda thing…

Coconuts serves up a generous trio of tacos stuffed with freshly caught mahi-mahi. The warm flour tortilla come served with fresh pico, lettuce, jalapeños, cheese, lime and chipotle ranch.

You can drop some toppings or add extras, but this balance works perfectly. The only thing that could take the perfect taco over the top is some fresh avocado, which you can add 🙂
